Yes, believe it or not, there are two DO’s. The OG, which is the one you will read about on this website, and another event (which we like to call SIDO) held in the South Island. They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, and as the OG we certainty feel flattered by our colleagues from Te Waipounamu. Nice one.
SIDO is a different type of tournament from ours, but different is good. Actually from our own experiences of SIDO, different is awesome.

The South Island Devil’s Own is a fun social golfing weekend for lawyers, legal executives and judges, both current and retired, from throughout New Zealand. In 2025 the event will be held from 7 to 9 November 2025 at Methven Golf Club (Methven Golf Course).
The focus of the tournament is on attendance, playing enjoyable golf and the after-match social events where you get the opportunity to mingle, and network with fellow legal practitioners and sponsors. The programme is specifically designed to cater for both able and social golfers. Accomodation is arranged for you, or you can organise your own elsewhere if you so wish.Entry fee $250 + GST, discounted rate for first time attendees – $170 +GST.
